KJM Staffing Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Marketing & Business Development Specialist for our large law firm client.  This role will be based in the New York office and provide firmwide support for the IP practice of this global law firm.  This role offers a high base and excellent benefits as well as fantastic growth potential.
  • Serve as the business development liaison to assigned Firm-wide practice and industry groups and help to establish and execute viable marketing plans.
  • Help to develop new areas of focus that will capitalize on market, regulatory and industry changes so that the Firm is at the forefront of anticipating client needs. Serve as office point person for local business development initiatives.
  • Develop customized pitches, responses to RFPs, and other marketing collateral for new business opportunities and client meetings.
  • Assist lawyers with event planning, including in-house seminars, sponsorship opportunities, client dinners and conferences. Coordinate logistics such as venue, budget, invitations, RSVPs, etc., and calendar all office events for inclusion on the Firm’s website.
  • Create, track and organize data for annual office marketing budget.
  • Collaborate with lawyers to gather information and draft submissions for legal directories and ranking authorities.
  • Participate as a member of Firm-wide marketing team and provide assistance to other members of the team on marketing/business development projects as needed.
  • Coordinate projects in other offices as needed or as directed by the Chief Marketing Officer, Director of Business Development or Senior Manager of Business Development.
  • Minimum of four years of business development, marketing or consultancy experience (law firm or professional services firm experience is a plus)
  • Undergraduate degree is required, with a specialization in business or marketing, or an equivalent field desired
  • Sophisticated understanding of targeted cross-servicing
