Senior Legal Analyst - IP Litigation (Senior Paralegal)

Our client is a top ranked global law firm and this role will be based in the San Francisco office.

The successful candidate will have senior level paralegal experience with patent & trademark litigation and patent & trademark trial experience.  ITC trial experience is necessary. Experience with District court filings and Patent office filings is necessary.   Candidates must be skilled in organizing documents, exhibits, and other materials in preparation for trial.  The position requires a high level of computer skills including working with multiple court sites (USITC EDIS) and document databases.  A minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience in all aspects of patent & trademark litigation is required. This experience must be patent & trademark trial and hearing preparation.   College degree and paralegal certification required. Prior experience working for a large, global law firm is preferred.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Organizing and preparing cases for trial/arbitration
  • Organization and maintenance of all case document databases
  • Pulling lodged documents from court sites
  • Ensuring Firm docket is synchronized
  • Managing the preparation of witness and subject files
  • Preparing data/documents for expert depositions
  • Preparation of exhibits
  • Drafting discovery responses; managing logistics of document productions.
  • Liaise between case team attorneys and support staff as needed to ensure that case-specific paralegal support is meeting the needs of the team’s expectations
  • Interact with outside entities (e.g. courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors, and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities, as needed, in support of firm activities, specifically trials and arbitrations.
