Discovery Attorney (Hybrid Remote)

SourcePro Search has a fantastic opportunity for a Discovery Attorney.  This is a hybrid remote role (2 days a week in the LA or SF office) with our prestigious and large firm client.  This role offers a generous compensation package, excellent growth potential and a strong firm culture.

As a Discovery Attorney, you will apply your experience and advanced knowledge of eDiscovery strategies and best practices to assist case teams in supporting the firm’s matters for its clients. You will work alongside partners and associates to understand eDiscovery requirements for matters, contribute to the overall strategy and development of workflows and operational plans to cull, review, and produce data, manage the firm’s Document Review Attorneys, maintain vendor relationships, and work with other members of practice resources to respond to eDiscovery-related requests on matters.

The Discovery Attorney will act as the key point of contact for case teams with respect to strategic and logistical document culling, review, and production planning, implementation, and execution, including maintaining relationships with in-house litigation technology personnel, outside service providers, and clients. The Discovery Attorney will further ensure that case teams are trained on matter-specific workflows and document review tools and that all firm document review processes are followed.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Working with case teams and vendors to analyze and contribute to strategic and defensible culling decisions with respect to large data sets composed of a variety of file types and formats;
  • Designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of substantive document reviews, generally on Relativity and similar review platforms, including coding palette design, batching, review staffing, and formulating and running complex searches;
  • Assessing the value and costs associated with the application of advanced analytical tools such as TAR and email threading;
  • Designing quality control and privilege workflows and performing substantive and privilege QC review;
  • Assisting with redactions and preparation of privilege and redaction logs;
  • Participating in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited institution, and membership in good standing of the California bar.
  • Must have at least 5 years discovery experience working with electronic document reviews and productions in Relativity/RelativityOne and other document review platforms.
