SourcePro Search has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer in Sevierville, TN.  This position offers an excellent compensation package as well as relocation assistance. 

Responsibilities:
  • Customer management by facilitating 8d teams. Ensure maintenance of customer concern database.
  • Participate in Quality Council meetings: Ford, GM and DMAX.
  • Perform returned product analysis.
  • Manage related containment activities.
  • Mange and lead customer visit with assistance of Quality Manger (Ford, GM and DMAX)
  • Facilitate problem-solving actions to reduce sorts.
  • Manage and coordinate sort activities. The goal is to reduce and/or eliminate all sort activities and to minimize cost. Duties also include coordinating implementation of solutions.
  • Develop and manage QA capital program each year. Prepare and submit Quality Dept CEA’s early in the year to ensure QA capital is obtained as necessary.
  • Lead TFV APQP efforts by supporting EC APQP and attending APQP meetings.
  • Manage TFV Sample and VA/VE Programs by providing customer interface, coordinating VA/VE and sample programs, and developing systems.
  • Reduce PFMEA/RPN by developing and maintaining control plans and develop RPN tracking and reduction program. Drive for completion of action items to reduce RPN numbers.
  • Develop and maintain control plans while determining and implementing the best practices.
  • Develop and implement new gauging solutions including vision systems, auto gaging, etc.
  • Develop and maintain Poka Yoke systems. Benchmark other plants inside and outside TRW for best practices to implement.

 Requirements:
  • Four-year degree, preferably in a technical field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process, the quality systems and documentation in place, and the expectations of the customer.
  • Must understand roles of support groups.
  • Must have excellent written oral communication skills, computer skills, inter-personal skills, and analytical skills.
  • Requires 3-5 years experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Requires a high level of expertise in statistical quality control methods, problem solving techniques, and APQP, MSA, SPC, TS16949 knowledge
